Mademoiselle Boo Shoot

Here are some of my favourite photos from my lingerie shoot with Mademoiselle Boo with makeup by Leanne Cowie. This was my first lingerie shoot and quite unusual for me as it involved a very tattooed burlesque dancer wearing very little in the cold, dark and wet woods of Gateshead. However, that just made it far more interesting and unusual for me. Overall, I really enjoyed the shoot and got some great photos from it, even if I had to rush there from my first degree handin and I was still late.

Foundation Degree: Hat Project

Here are my Final Images from my first Foundation Degree Project; Creative/Documentary Hat.

This was a joint project; I had to produce an image of someone under 20 or over 60 wearing an object styled as a hat creatively. I choose to style a young model using a halo/crown of thorns made from Christmas lights so they would resemble an angel or saint, and shoot them in a wooded environment to give the image a feel of an angelic vision. I also used a reflector to lighten the model to make her look more spectral and angelic.

I then had to produce a documentary image of someone wearing a hat on the street (preferably someone of the opposite age and gender than that of my subject from my Creative shoot). I did 2 shoots along the Quayside Market and around Granger Street and Market in Newcastle and overall I selected this shot of this lovely old man as my most successful image. This was quite a tricky project for me as I think the way I work is more technical than creative, but I loved the Documentary Project simply because I love Street Photography.

This is just the first of many projects and final images from my Foundation Degree so keep your eyes peeled for more posts and probably a page when I've taken a few more. But until then; enjoy and let me know what you think of my blog and images.

Jodie: The Farm Girl

Here are some of my favourite photos of the gorgeous Jodie (who you may remember from her shoot with Emma), who works on a farm so I thought it was only appropriate to go to a wheat field and an abandoned barn to shoot her like the farm girl she is. I am really pleased with this photos and I can't wait to shoot Jodie (in a gory shoot) when she gets back from university.

Julie's First Cosplay Shoot

Here are some of my absolute favourite photos from my first (and hopefully not my last) shoot with the amazing Julie. I've been asking (nagging) Julie for months to do a cosplay shoot, as she has a very impressive collection of costumes and she is an amazing designer and maker (if that is the right word) and she finally agreed. I can't even remember the name of the character but I am very pleased with the photos and amazed at Julie; she was an excellent model and settled into it very quickly, especially considering how worried she was. Personally, I can't wait for our next shoot as it will be a creative and technically challenge for me and will hopefully be a step up for my cosplay shoots.

Kelsey's First Shoot

After a few months of nagging, I finally persuaded the beautiful Kelsey to step infront of my camera and do a few poses and I am very impressed with the results and I am already thinking of what I'd like to do with her next. I think she would be brilliant for some High-Street Fashion Shoots or maybe some Expressive Headshots? What do you guys think?
