Last Friday I did a shoot with a student at my college, who is also a model and fashion blogger. We arranged to do a shoot around The Sage, Gateshead and along the Newcastle/Gateshead Quayside. However, the weather was terrible and we were both delayed so by the time we managed to meet at our rendezvous it was dark and rainy. So we sat down, had a drink, talked about ideas and (when we'd warmed up and dried off) we took some photos. Due to the weather and lack of light, I initially used a SD-700 FlashGun on my Nikon D3200 but as I dislike flash photography, I swapped this for a 50mm lens and tried to shoot around the available light sources. Although I had aimed to shoot some fashion images due to the light and weather I had to settle for some head-shots. Overall I got some good photos and some better ideas for some follow-up shoots including a China Doll inspired shoot, another Quayside shoot (in better conditions) and hopefully I will be doing weekly shoot with Paige for her fashion blog.
